About the research
The tasks completed through this project will be used to research, review, update, and print/post two handbooks extensively used in Iowa. These documents include the temporary traffic control handbook and the flagger handbook. The objective of the project is to review the content of the new 2023 Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and determine where the handbooks need to be updated. The latest edition of the MUTCD may include new content relevant to the users of the temporary traffic control and flagger handbooks, which will also be considered for inclusion.
