PM-9: Traveler Perception of Privacy

Metric Description: Measures Traveler’s opinion on using the Health Connector service and how their location-specific data are handled by the system in terms of privacy. This is a qualitative measure and will be calculated based on survey input. It is measured as follows:

• Percentage of survey respondents that select “I have concerns about sharing my personal information in the Health Connector App” in response to the onboard vehicle survey question, “Why haven’t you used the Health Connector app for transportation to medical appointments?”
• Percentage of survey respondents that select “Not concerned” in response to the onboard vehicle survey question, “The new Health Connector app uses your location to find transportation options and provide directions. How concerned are you about the app’s use of your device’s location?”

Targets:

• Less than 10% of survey respondents indicate that they have not used Health Connector due to concerns about sharing personal information.
• 90% of survey respondents indicate “not concerned” about Health Connector using their location data.

Survey Method: Survey data related to this performance metric is collected via a survey administered by a member of the ISU Survey Team to riders onboard a HIRTA/Health Connector vehicle.
