PM-4: Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) Prediction Accuracy

Metric Description: Refers to the capability of the system to calculate ETA accurately and reliably for all trips. It is measured as follows:

• Accuracy in number of minutes/seconds for the delta between the proposed pickup window and actual arrival time for pickups.

Target:

• ETA accuracy target measured for Traveler pickups as whether the actual time of arrival is within +/-1 minute error, 95% of time when a ride is 0–5 minutes away.
• Clarification: Metric is percent of time rider is picked up within 10 minutes of the End of Pickup Window offered to riders at the time of booking. The target specifies that riders should be picked up within 10 minutes of the estimated arrival time 95% of the time when a ride is 0–5 minutes away, operationalized here as the percentage of trips where the vehicle arrives within the stated pickup window or no more than 10 minutes beyond it.
