PM-22: Reduction in Medical Appointment Deferment Due to Lack of Transportation

Metric Description: Refers to the ability of the system to help reduce the number of missed medical appointments caused due to lack of access to transportation. This is a qualitative measure and will be based on survey input. It will be measured as follows:

  • Percentage of survey respondents that select “Once” or “Twice or more” in response to the onboard vehicle survey question, “How many times in the last 6 months have you missed a medical appointment because you did not have transportation?”

Target:

  • No more than 10% of survey respondents who have had a medical appointment in the past 6 months have missed this due to lack of transportation.

Survey Methodology: Survey data related to this performance metric is collected via a survey administered by a member of the ISU Survey Team to riders onboard a HIRTA/Health Connector vehicle. The onboard survey will be used to determine missed medical appointments for Health Connector riders. Supplemental baseline data of non-Health Connector users missing medical appointments will be collected during a focus group, hosted by the ISU Survey Team.

Update frequency: Monthly
