Abstract

The AM ETG was formed over 12 years ago to support the FHWA in its efforts to advance asset management practices. Since that time, the AM ETG has provided guidance to the FHWA and other agencies through the development of strategic plans, case studies, and white papers, as well as participating in regional and national asset management meetings and conferences. Moving forward, the AM ETG envisions more direct interaction with state, regional, and local transportation agencies to promote and advance the implementation of asset management practices. This session will highlight a recent meeting between the AM ETG and New Mexico DOT, which is expected to serve as a model for the future.
