About the research

Under the Code of Iowa, local and state governments have the responsibility to design, construct, and maintain the public infrastructure that lies within road right-of-way corridors. This project will complete an overall organizational and operational plan that would allow for the development, implementation, and maintenance of a Statewide Urban Standard Design and Specifications manual. The current central Iowa manual will be used as a base for the development of a statewide manual.
