About the research

The Incident Location Tool developed in earlier phases is being used with the Traffic and Criminal Software (TraCS) electronic data capture software being developed and implemented by the Iowa DOT. In addition to being a component of TraCS, a direct interface to the DB2 crash database has been implemented to facilitate location caputre from paper crash reports. This phase will continue development and support for the ILT.
