About the research

CTRE has developed a GIS-based Incident Location Tool (ILT) for use with Traffic and Criminal Software (TraCS), an electronic data collection system developed by the Iowa DOT. The New York State Police implemented the software in October 2002 and now requests that a set of additional functions and enhancements be added to ILT and configured for deployment.
