About the Program

Established in 2002 and updated in 2014, the Roads Scholar program formally recognizes Iowa's transportation workers and their commitment to continuing education.

Workers receive credit hours for attending workshops and conferences. Virutally all training events offered by Iowa LTAP and the Institute for Transportation qualify for Roads Scholar credit. As their credit hours add up, workers receive recognition from Iowa LTAP and from their own supervisors.

For the program curriculum and requirements, visit the Roads Scholars program page.

Participation in the Roads Scholar program is free, but participants must register to track their courses and achievements.
