Registration is now open for the biennial Innovations in Transportation Conference.
This year’s conference will be held from Oct. 9–10 at the Scheman Building at Iowa State University. The day-and-a-half meeting is hosted by the Iowa Department of Transportation and Iowa State's Institute for Transportation in partnership with the American Association of State Highway & Transportation Officials (AASHTO), the Mid America Association of State Transportation Officials (MAASTO), and the Federal Highway Administration.
Registration details can be found here. Attendees can lock in a reduced price if they register before Sept. 27.
The event offers an opportunity to learn about current practical applications of transportation research and looks to the future of the transportation industry. It is designed for transportation professionals at local and state agencies, academia, and business and industry.
Speakers from around the nation will engage participants in topics such as mobility and accessibility, connected and autonomous vehicles, organizational change, and data analytics.
Simon J. Anderson, a start-up entrepreneur and a consultant on emerging technology and trends, will be the keynote speaker. A panel discussion among transportation leaders is also planned.
A tentative agenda for the event can be found here.
