GO! Further Summer Workshop for High School Students

Are you a high school student interested in learning more about engineering? Or maybe you want to strengthen your leadership skills and participate in exciting team building activities?  The Iowa Department of Transportation and the Iowa State University Institute for Transportation are offering high school students the opportunity to GO! Further through a 5 day educational workshop.  During the workshop students will participate in activities designed to educate students on the professional world of engineering with a focus on transportation, provide students with leadership training and educate on how to effectively work in teams. 

The workshop will offer high schools students the opportunity to:

  • Participate in seminars with transportation experts from the Iowa Department of Transportation and Iowa State University Institute for Transportation
  • Tour transportation related facilities participating in real world transportation research
  • Work in teams with high school students from across Iowa
  • Engage in engineering lab activities and tours that will help to better understand engineering within the transportation industry
  • Receive a $300 stipend for completing program requirements

All programs will take place near Iowa State University

Program dates: June 10th – July 24th
