Ryan Fries, of the University of Illinois, Edwardsville, is the final speaker in the 2016 Tom Maze Transportation Seminar Series, sponsored by the Midwest Transportation Center (MTC) at Iowa State University. Fries will speak on Friday, April 22, at 11 a.m. The title of his presentation is "Traffic—Freight—Safety Issues in the Bi-state St. Louis Metro Area."

Interested persons can also participate in the seminar at the ISU Institute for Transportation (InTrans) Videoconference Room at the ISU Research Park.

The seminar is part of MTC's Transportation Scholars Program and is an important feature of graduate transportation education at ISU and the MTC’s partner universities. All presentations are held Fridays at 11 a.m. during the spring semester and use Adobe Connect, which allows for all sites to actively participate.

Professor Tom Maze was a longtime transportation researcher at ISU. The MTC is one of 15 transportation-related centers and programs at ISU’s Institute for Transportation.
