The mission of the Construction Management & Technology (CM&T) program is to improve the efficiency and cost effectiveness of planning, designing, constructing, and operating transportation facilities through innovative construction processes and technologies. CM&T performs applied research to enhance construction transportation projects and disseminate knowledge through appropriate forums.
Research project ideas are generated and funded by a consortia of industry, state, and federal organizations in areas of relevance to meet their needs. CM&T works in cooperation with other groups within the Institute for Transportation such as Center for Earthworks Engineering Research, the National Concrete Pavement Technology Center, and other outside organizations.
