Graphic Design Support Services

The intent of this service is to provide DBE firms with tools to aid with professional marketing to help them grow their business. The service offered under this effort is support to develop a graphic design, most likely in the form of a logo, to help with professional branding of the company. Many small companies do not have the time or resources to employ services to help with logo development and rely on what can be developed by the owners using the basic computer technology.

In this effort we have partnered with graphic design students at Iowa State University who are eager to put their up-to-date learning and experience to work and create company logos. At the completion of the project, the company will own the rights to the logo and design. The design can be made available to the company in multiple formats to be used in multiple media settings.

Types of Design Services Offered

Examples of the design services offered include

How It Works

  1. Complete the support request form.
  2. A face to face or virtual meeting will be set up to gain an understanding of the DBE company and discuss basic design concepts.
  3. The student will develop multiple (approximately three to eight) black and white designs to consider.
  4. The student and the DBE company will discuss the black and white designs and select one, or discuss modifications to designs developed.
  5. Once a design has been selected, the student will add desired colors.
  6. Upon approval from the DBE company, the student will turn over the design rights and associated media (e.g., business card templates).
