Under the Strategic Highway Research Program, CMAT researchers investigated factors that make projects complex and some ways complexity is managed. Fifteen projects in the US and three international projects were investigated through in-depth case studies to identify tools that aid managers of complex projects in delivering projects successfully.
The result was a guidebook and training course delivered The course serves as an introduction to five-dimensional project management (5DPM) and the methods and tools found in successfully-delivered complex projects.
