Tom presents transportation safety-related workshops and offers advice to local transportation agencies for maintaining and improving roadway safety. Most workshops can be given anywhere local agencies have space--in meeting rooms, shops, or garages. Tom is also active in research projects with potential impact on roadway safety.
For 33 years, Tom served as a professional engineer in a variety of locations and positions for the Iowa DOT including materials, construction, design, and administration, but always with significant interest in safety issues.
